Visit Turkestan
Historical exhibition sharing a story behind the most valuable and interesting aspects of the mausoleum of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi in the city of Turkestan.
To create this project, our team carried out in-depth research work together with historians, archaeologists and scientists. The project talks about geometric harmonization in the design of buildings in Central Asia in the Middle Ages: how construction was carried out, what the mausoleum was supposed to look like according to Amur Timur’s original idea, as well as documents about the history of construction and restoration of the mausoleum, little-known facts about the inscriptions in the building and much more. We also recreated and demonstrated previously lost historical artifacts in realistic 3D graphics. The project was completed in 2021 and is still open to the general public at Farab Library, Turkestan City.
